Delivering Direct Communication with First Responders

In one New England school district, security needs created a requirement for staff to be able to communicate directly with first responders, but without taking on the incremental burden of carrying portable radios. Eastern facilitated a cybersecure, cloud-hosted extension of the local law enforcement's P25 Land Mobile Radio (LMR) system into the smartphones, tablets, and PCs of teachers and staff to facilitate safety, security, and communications reliability in classrooms throughout the district.

Providing Affordable and Reliable Campus-Wide Connectivity

A state university required a semi-sophisticated communications system, capable of providing in-building and outdoor coverage over a sizeable campus, while also providing for sufficient talk groups to encompass several departments' operations and interoperability with local law enforcement. Eastern worked closely with the university to engineer, design, and implement a workable solution that met operational needs in a cost-constrained environment.
